History

Cadillac Mines Corporation was formed with a vision to unlock value across one of Canada’s most historic and prospective mining regions — the Cadillac-Larder Lake Break in Ontario and Québec.

The Company’s roots are closely tied to the historic Kerr-Addison Mine in Virginiatown, Ontario, once one of Canada’s largest and highest-grade gold mines. Following the closure of the historic mine in 1996, the region remained recognized for its geological potential. In 2015, Cadillac Mines Corporation (then called Gold Candle Ltd.) acquired the Kerr-Addison Mine with the goal of advancing the next chapter of exploration and development in the district, applying modern exploration approaches to a region with a long and significant mining history. The Kerr-Addison Mine laid the foundation for what would eventually become Cadillac Mines and remains a key part of the Company’s growing portfolio today.

Over time, Cadillac Mines expanded beyond the Kerr-Addison Mine, assembling a broader district-scale land package across the Abitibi Greenstone Belt through strategic acquisitions, exploration success and new discoveries, including the Kerr-Addison Project, the Galloway Project and the discovery of the Geminid nickel sulphide deposit.

The Company is led by a team with extensive experience in mineral exploration, mine development and capital markets, with a proven track record of creating value through discovery, development and strategic growth. Today, Cadillac Mines is advancing multiple projects across Ontario and Québec.
