Richard (Rick) Howes, Chief Executive Officer of the Company, is a seasoned mining executive and engineer with over 40 years of experience in operations, project development and corporate leadership. He previously served as President and CEO of Reunion Gold Corporation, which was acquired in 2024, and is Chairman of Torex Gold Resources Inc. Earlier in his career, Mr. Howes held senior roles at Dundee Precious Metals, including Chief Operating Officer and later Chief Executive Officer from 2013 to 2020, overseeing major growth projects such as the transformation and expansion of the Chelopech Mine in Bulgaria, the upgrade of the Tsumeb Smelter in Namibia and the development of the Ada Tepe open‑pit gold mine. Recognized for driving transformational change and operational excellence, his commitment to safety contributed to Vale’s North Mine winning Canada’s National Ryan Award in 2006, and he was named Outstanding Innovator of 2016 by the International Mining Technology Hall of Fame. Mr. Howes holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours) in Mining Engineering from Queen’s University and is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
