Louise Grondin
Louise Grondin retired in January 2021 as Senior Vice-President of People and Culture at Agnico, after almost 20 years with the company. During her tenure, Ms. Grondin occupied various senior positions in environment, health and safety, community relations, communications and human resources. Prior to that, Ms. Grondin spent eight years as Director of HSE and Human Resources at the Selbaie Mine in Québec (Billiton Canada). Ms. Grondin started her career at Ontario Hydro in Toronto, where she spent 12 years in various engineering positions. Ms. Grondin holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Ottawa, a master’s degree in sciences from McGill University and has completed her Mechanical Engineering curriculum at the University of Toronto. She is a member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs in Québec, the Professional Engineers of Ontario and is a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering. She is also a member of the Board of Champion Iron, where she chairs the Sustainability and Indigenous Affairs Board committee, a member of the Board of Wesdome Gold Mines, where she chairs the Compensation and HR Board committee, and sits on the Board of the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame.
